McDonald's boss announces plans to 'reset business'
May 5 , 2015
McDonald’s has announced plans to restructure its business and add more franchised restaurants internationally.
The fast-food chain has posted poor results for the first three months of 2015.
Steve Easterbrook, McDonald’s chief executive, said that he wanted to move away from the company’s “cumbersome” structure and pay more attention to “digital” engagement. He said that there was an “urgent need to reset” the business.
Meanwhile, Standard & Poor’s has cut the firm's rating from A to A-.
