Lufthansa pilots strike again: 1,350 flights cancelled

  • Lufthansa, the German airline, has cancelled 1,350 flights after pilots indicated that they were set to go on another strike following the failure of talks between them and the carrier, according to media reports.

Retirement benefits for pilots is the key area of disagreement.

Over 150,000 passengers would be affected by the cancellations, the airline said

This is the ninth strike by Lufthansa pilots since April. The pilots’ union said that “despite all efforts” to seek a compromise, no satisfactory agreement could be reached with the airline management.
