L'Oreal's heiress and World's richest women Liliane Bettencourt dies at 94

  • The family of L'Oreal heiress Liliane informed the world on Thursday that world's richest woman, Liliane Bettencourt has died. According to a statement, it was said that she died “peacefully” at home. She was 94 years old. Her net worth was estimated at about 33billion euros. She was the daughter of Eugene Schueller, a chemist, one time Nazi sympathizer and the founder of French hairspray giant, L'Oreal. She inherited her father's company in 1957. She joined his company at the young age of 15. She was in news as the members of Liliane Bettencourt's team were charged with exploiting her as she was diagnosed with dementia. Liliane Bettencourt was the only child of her parents- Louise Madelaine Berthe and Eugene Schueller, founder of L'Oreal.
