Kodak to emerge from backruptcy
September 4 , 2013
Kodak has recently gained approval from a court for a plan that would help it to emerge from bankruptcy as a much smaller company.
Judge Allan Gropper has put Kodak on track to exit the situation in about two weeks and said "it will be enormously valuable for the company to get out of Chapter 11 and hopefully begin to regain its position in the pantheon of American business."
For many years the company had been synonymous with family snapshots but it was later weighed down by pension costs resulting in the filing of bankruptcy in 2012.
