Jon Stewart makes fun of GM recalls
April 4 , 2014
Jon Stewart's 'The Daily Show' attacked the image of General Motors and went into its history of recalling vehicles.
The comic was sarcastic while talking about the company that got into plenty of trouble for the defects that it chose to ignore in the early 2000s. Stewart also mentioned that the cost of fixing each vehicle would have been 57 cents and the company could have "found at least that much in the seats of the cars" they're fixing.
"Because GM declared bankruptcy, they are no longer legally liable for human deaths that they caused through their admitted negligence," he said. "I cannot wait for a non-corporate person to try that shit."
