Johansson to step down as Oxfam ambassador

Scarlett Johansson respectfully ended her relationship with Oxfam International since she has "a fundamental difference of opinion" with the humanitarian group.
Her spokesman revealed that the eight-year-long relationship has come to an end given the difference in opinion "in regards to the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. She is very proud of her accomplishments and fundraising efforts during her tenure with Oxfam."
The Avengers actress has been the group's ambassador since 2007 and has promoted awareness regarding global poverty, while increasing funds. She has traveled to Sri Lanka, India and Kenya in her role in order to highlight the impact of poverty and disasters.
The move comes after the the 29-year-old actress was criticized for supporting an Israeli company, working in the West Bank.
