IMF predicts 'moderate' Global growth in 2015

  • Global growth will remain moderate this year and the prospects are “uneven” across regions and countries, according to the IMF.

For advanced countries, the outlook for 2015 is improving compared to the last year, but emerging economies are likely to see lower growth.

Some oil exporters, too, have weaker prospects this year, according to the projections by the IMF World Economic Outlook.

Global growth is likely to be 3.5% in 2015, but a push from emerging economies in 2016 will increase it to 3.8% next year, the report says.
