Ikea warns of unsafe children's beds

  • Ikea has recalled many children's beds because of faulty design. There have been several reports of the broken metal rod and exposed sharp edges, There have been no reports of any injuries though. 

    Only certain batches of the beds are affected and even customers in the UK are being asked to check the date stamp on the beds. The ones that are faulty number from 1114 to 1322 (Kritter junior beds) and from 1114 to 1318 (Snigler junior beds). 

    Those landed with the faulty beds are being offered a repair kit or a refund. According to Ikea, 10,000 of such beds have been sold in Sweden but the company isn't sure about the number sold at other places.
