IBM partners with Apple to sell iPhones, iPads with pre-loaded apps

  • IBM is partnering with Apple to sell iPhones and iPads pre-loaded with apps aimed at enterprise clients.

    IBM is trying to focus on software and services as its hardware business is facing increasing pressure. 

    The firm said it will release over 100 apps linked to industry specific issues in healthcare, travel, transportation, retail, banking, and telecommunications. IBM shares rose by 1.9% and Apple shares increased by 1.3% following the announcement.
