March 2 , 2015
The reputation of UK firms is being damaged because of the size of the pay packages offered to top executives, a survey has revealed.
Over 1,000 business leaders were surveyed in the poll. Fifty-two percent said very high salaries were causing people to lose trust in big firms.
Over 50% agreed that pay linked to performance ought to be deferred for around three years.
In 2011, a report had described the excessive salaries of top executives in the UK as “corrosive”.
