Unemployment in Greece hit a record 25.1 percent in July, according to the latest official figures.
The rate amongst the 15 to 24 age group, sat at 54.2 percent. However, it includes those in education.
Greece's statistical authority said 1.26 million Greeks were without a job in July, estimating that more than 1,000 jobs had lost every day over the past year.
With austerity measures still in place and the country likely to enter another year of recession, the level is expected to increase further.
