Greece debt crisis: Merkel says 'not much time left' to clinch deal
June 9 , 2015
Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, has warned that time is running out for clinching a deal on the Greek debt crisis.
She said that Europe was willing to support Greece but the latter must spell out its proposals and “implement reforms.”
The European Commission wants the Greek government to carry out further reforms such as cuts in salaries and pensions before the next phase of bailout money is released.
Meanwhile, the Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis has said that “finger-pointing” must stop and all efforts will be made to reach an agreement.
