Greece crisis: Rival rallies in Athens ahead of crucial referendum
July 4 , 2015
Huge rival rallies have been held in Greece ahead of Sunday’s referendum that could decide the country’s future within the eurozone.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras again urged tens of thousands of people gathered in capital Athens to vote “no”.
But at another big rally nearby, stark warnings were issued that a “no” vote would mean Greece’s exit from the eurozone.
The country’s financial crisis has deepened in the past few days after the shutting down of banks and imposition of limits on cash withdrawals.
