Greece crisis: Eurozone resumes talks after 'very difficult' negotiations
July 12 , 2015
Finance ministers of the eurozone are meeting in Brussels to continue their talks on Greece’s proposals for a bailout deal amid growing uncertainty over the possibility of any such agreement.
Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the Dutch finance minister, acknowledged Saturday’s negotiations had been “very difficult”.
Ministers say they are doubtful whether the Greek government will implement the austerity measures that it had proposed following the referendum.
Dijsselbloem said the problem with the proposals was not limited to their “content”, but “the even more difficult issue of trust".
