Greece bailout: Tsipras rallies support amid anger over deal
July 14 , 2015
Greece’s prime minister Alexis Tsipras faces a divided country with many voters and politicians opposed to the measures that Greece will have to quickly take to clinch the bailout deal offered by the leaders of the eurozone.
Four key pieces of legislation including labor and pension reforms have to be passed before the end of Wednesday. Tsipras is trying to rally support of Greek legislators behind the deal.
Panos Kammenos, the defense minister and a junior coalition partner, said that he would back Tsipras, but compared the conditions imposed by the eurozone to a “coup” on Greece.
