Google and Facebook Own 20 Percent of Global Ad Revenue

  • As per reports, Google and Facebook captured 20% of the global adspend between 2012 and 2016. Google and Facebook together accounted for 20 percent, or $106.3 billion.

    Google made $79.4 billion while Facebook $26.9 billion in 2016.

    Comcast, a US broadcasting and cable television company, was the third with $12.9bn in ad revenues in 2016.

    The other media owners in the ranking include Baidu, Microsoft, Yahoo, Verizon and Twitter.
