GM to fire 15 employees
June 6 , 2014
General Motors is firing 15 people after the ignition switch scandal, but none of the senior executives in the company are being fired.
CEO Mary Barra mentioned that the internal probe didn't reveal that senior executives were responsible for any sort of cover-up and the media reports indicate that she blamed the issue on lower-level employees and bureaucrats.
"How do you truly fix a culture of carelessness and cover-up without cutting the head off the snake," a lawyer representing faulty switch victims said.
