Global Growth Slowdown Worrisome, Says IMF Chief

Ahead of her talks with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, IMF chief, Christine Lagarde expressed concerns that the slowing down of growth and development had become global and did not recognize any borders anymore. Asia which has hitherto been coping well with the economic recession of the West is now sowing signs of being affected as well, she said. She also revealed that the growth outlook forecasts which are soon to be published shall be lower than what it was last quarter.
