Fired NYT editor addressed new graduate students in her rousing speech

  • Jill Abramson  spoke at the graduation ceremony of Wake Forest University, days after when she as the New York Times' executive editor got fired. She addressed the students and motivated them to prove their worth.

She mentioned that she doesn't know as to what is next for her and she's in the same boat as that of the students. She said that she is little scared and at the same time excited.

"I'm talking to anyone who has been dumped - not gotten the job you really wanted or received those horrible rejection letters from grad school. You know the sting feeling of losing." She advised such students to show what they are made of.
