Facebook to have a swanky housing community

  • Facebook is soon to have a swanky housing community near its campus in California. The company is now working toward building a 394-unit community close to its headquarters.

"Anton Menlo" sounds like a place that most people would want to call home. There are plenty of amenities such as dog park, on-site cafe, sports pub, wellness services, a resort-like pool and more; The property is almost 10-acres and is a redevelopment of industrial land.

A company rep mentioned that the project wasn't designed in order to retain employees. Given the housing shortage in Menlo Park, the $120M project is instead designed for those employees who asked for help looking for places to live.

However, the development will only have the capacity to house 10 percent of the employees and a lot of units will be also open to those who are non-employees.

The project will take two years to complete and will include 208 one-bedroom apartments, 139 two-bedrooms, 12-three bedrooms and 35 studios.
