Eurozone must focus on jobs and growth, says Obama

  • U.S. President Barack Obama has urged European countries to focus on jobs and growth.

    Obama made the statement while speaking after the G8 summit, adding that the U.S. is confident that Europe can address its economic challenges.

    In addition to the eurozone crisis, the G8 leaders discussed Iran, Afghanistan and global energy supply.

    The Group of Eight comprises of France, Germany, the U.S., the UK, Italy, Japan, Canada and Russia, whose leaders met at Camp David in the American state of Maryland.
