EU sanctions on two Iranian oil firms lifted

  • The EU has lifted sanctions from two Iranian oil producers.

The move follows the nuclear deal reached between Iran and world powers last month.

Petropars Operation and Management and Petropars Resources Engineering had appealed to the EU court in May, arguing that the evidence to include them in the sanctions list was insufficient.

The firms are part of a group which extracts natural gas from the South Pars field in Iran.
