May 26 , 2013
Emirates, one of the leading airlines of the world, have started a redesigned luxury lounge for the benefit of their passengers at the Charles de Gaulle Airport of Paris. The lounge will be open to passengers who will be flying with the airlines in the business class and first class. The benefit will also be extended to the gold and platinum class members of Emirates Skywards, which is the frequent flyer program of the Dubai-based airline.
The lounge at the Paris airport has been refurbished at an aggregate cost of 3.8 million euros. Its location has also been changed to a more central one. With the new space customers will be able to get better customer access. They will also be getting a proper view of the tarmac from the new lounge. The size of the lounge has also gone up by 67 per cent and now it can make space for as many as 156 passengers.
Emirates also have 35 other lounges in several other airports and over the next 3 to 4 years it will be looking to improve them in a planned manner. At present Emirates have 32 flights every week to France and 20 of these go to the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. There is also a flight every day to Nice. Lyon has five flights every week that are operated by the Emirates.
