Defective airbag scare: Honda recalls 4.5 million more cars

  • Carmaker Honda has announced it is recalling another 4.5 million cars globally as concerns over the defective Takata airbags continue.

Eight deaths have been linked to the defect in the airbags, leading to the recall of millions of cars in the US and elsewhere.

Japanese firm Honda has recalled a whopping 24.5 million cars, over half of the total cars recalled globally. The carmaker, however, described the latest recall as a “preventive measure”.
