College Diploma is definitely worth it

  • It appears that college education is a good investment since a new report suggests that graduates who complete a four-year degree end up earning about $831,000 more by the time they retire, as compared to those who don't go to college. Media reports note that this includes the cost of tuition as well as wages missed during those four years.

"Although there are stories of people who skipped college and achieved financial success, for most Americans the path to higher future earnings involves a four-year college degree," Mary Dalu of the San Francisco Fed writes.

The report specifically states that going to college is "time and money well spent."
