CME Group considers opening European exchange

CME Group, the biggest U.S. futures exchange operator, is mulling over creating a European derivatives exchange in Britain, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
According to two sources familiar with the matter, the CME Group is set to submit a license application to Britain's Financial Services Authority within the next week.
The Chicago-based group currently runs the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade and the New York Mercantile Exchange.
