Chinese Economy Accelerates in First Quarter

As per reports, China's economy in the first quarter of 2017 saw a growth of 6.9%. The growth is higher than what was predicted by many economists.
The state-led infrastructure spending as well as demand for new property helped boost the economy of the country.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the momentum was maintained by the economy from the second half of 2016.
A different set of data suggests a rise in domestic consumption. Retail sales in February jumped 10.9% from last year.
