China's trade data for September exceeds expectations
October 13 , 2014
China’s exports and imports for September have far exceeded expectations, official data revealed.
While exports were 15.3% greater than last year, imports increased 7%, resulting in a $31bn trade surplus for the month.
Analysts had expected a 12% increase in exports and an imports’ drop of up to 3%.
Some experts have cautioned that though the figures were impressive, it was too early to be very upbeat about the country’s export growth.
