China's economic growth in 2014 slowed down to 7.4%
January 20 , 2015
China’s economy registered its slowest growth in 24 years, down from 7.7% in 2013 to 7.4% in 2014, missing its official target of 7.5%, according to media reports.
Yet, the figures are higher than market forecasts of 7.2%. The world’s second largest economy expanded by 7.3% in the last quarter of 2014 compared to the same period in the previous year.
Though the October-December growth remained unchanged from the third quarter, it slightly exceeded economists’ expectations, media reports said.
