China surpassed US in attracting FDI: Report

  • China attracted more foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2014 than the US, as per the report of United Nations Conference of Trade and Development. The report also revealed that the foreign companies invested $128 billion in China last year as compared to $86 billion in the US.

    Worldwide, foreign investment dropped by 8% to $1.26 trillion in 2014 amid “fragility” in the global economy. FDI flows into developed nations fell by 14% to touch $511 billion, the report said.
