Burger King profits increase as costs fall
October 29 , 2013
Burger King made unexpected profits this year between July and Sept. because of more franchising as well as cost reductions.
The US restaurant chain's net profit, which was $6.6M during the same period in 2012, rose to $68.2M this year.
The company recently introduced its low calorie fries called 'Satisfries' after being criticized for the high content of fat in its food.
Although, Burger King's sales in North America fell by 0.3 percent, it's definitely at a better place than its biggest rival McDonald's, which might have flat profits ahead of it.
