Budget airline Fastjet receives approval for African routes

Budget African airline Fastjet has received approval to launch international flights from its hub in Tanzania.
The company will soon announce launch dates for flights to Johannesburg, Kigali and Lusaka from Dar es Salaam.
Fastjet, established by Easyjet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou, was created following its acquisition of African carrier Fly540.
Along with Tanzania, it operates from bases in Kenya, Ghana and Angola.
It currently has 10 aircraft flying to around 25 destinations within the African continent.
