Brussels: No breakthrough in talks over Greece debt crisis
February 12 , 2015
There has been no breakthrough in talks aimed at reaching an agreement over the Greek debt crisis, though both sides said they were still hopeful.
However, no joint statement was issued outlining further steps before the next round of talks is held between eurozone and Greek officials.
Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the Eurogroup president, described the talks as “constructive”.
Publicly, Greece’s new left-wing government has spoken out against the bailout deal. EU nations, led by Germany, want Greece to stick to the bailout conditions.
