Boeing and Airbus hit by airline cancellations
May 8 , 2012
Two of the world’s biggest plane makers have been hit by a total of 32 order cancellations so far this year.
European giant Airbus has had seven orders for the A350 cancelled by Abu Dhabi-based carrier Etihad Airways.
U.S. rival Boeing said 25 orders of its 787 Dreamliner had been cancelled without naming the airlines.
The cancellations for Boeing compare with 19 orders for this year so far and push the company into negative territory in terms of its flagship plane.
