Banker ditches job to brew beer
August 26 , 2013
Christopher George was making good money working as a banker. He had great benefits, until JPMorgan Chase took over Bank One eliminating his position.
George ditched his job to see if he could make a career out of his love for brewing beer. George's determination to join the homebrew club made him meet with a professional through a mentorship program run by PivotPlanet.
Founder of PivotPlanet said 50 percent of people walk away from their professions, saving themselves time and money by realizing that this is not what they wanted to do for the rest of their lives.
This, however, wasn't the case with Chris, who took a few years to get into a local microbrewery.
It has been seven years and Chris is now pumping out over 200 barrels annually.
