Amazon to hire 7,000 new workers in the U.S.
July 30 , 2013
Amazon announced that it plans on hiring over 5,000 new workers in the United States for his fulfillment centers, handling and processing customer orders. In addition to this number, another 2,000 workers are already being hired for the company's customer service network.
The compensation package for those working in its fulfillment centers will include benefits, stock awards as well as bonuses. The company said all its fulfillment jobs are full-time and that those working in the facilities are paid 30 percent more than they are at any traditional retail store. On the other hand, jobs for the customer service network include positions that could be full-time, part-time or seasonal.
This announcement cannot be random since President Obama is visiting an Amazon fulfillment center in Tennessee to discuss jobs on Tuesday.
