Airline surprises fliers with Christmas gifts
December 12 , 2013
Passengers on two WestJet flights got a chance to tell Santa Claus what they wanted for Christmas and to actually receive those gifts, wrapped, on baggage claim.
The passengers en route to Calgary from Toronto and Hamilton were asked to scan their boarding passes before getting on the planes, which enabled Santa to come on screen. The fliers were then caught speaking to him via hidden cameras.
Airline employees had about four hours to buy everything the passengers had mentioned. About 175 workers hurried to the stores to buy gifts, which included a big-screen TV and an Android tablet.
