Airline logo blacked out after accident

  • A Thai Airways plane ended up skidding on the runway while landing but was not possible to tell that the plane was of Thai Airways since the airline workers hid the logos by painting on them after the accident.

As recommended by Star Alliance, this "crisis communication rule" requires them to paint logos on both the tail and body of the plane. However, star alliance denies this fact and Thai Airlines said the company follows the policy of de-identification after accidents but it has not been recommended by Star Alliance.

Thirteen people were injured while being evacuated from the plane.
