Airbus, Boeing bag 200 orders on day one of Paris Air Show

  • Airbus and Boeing have bagged a total of 200 orders on day one of the Paris Air Show.

    Indonesian airline Garuda’s $20 billion order for 60 Boeing and 30 Airbus planes was the single biggest deal of the day.

    Qatar Airways announced it was buying 14 freighter and passenger jets for around $4.8 billion.

    Meanwhile, in a significant announcement, Airbus said that it would build 900 satellites for OneWeb to boost net access.
