£1.1bn package to boost UK's military capabilities

Prime minster David Cameron is announcing an extra £800m investment in Britain’s intelligence and surveillance operations.
The funding will help the UK get more drones to monitor terror suspects.
On the whole, the British leader is announcing extra investment of £1.1bn for boosting the military’s capabilities. Another £300m is being invested in existing defense projects, reports said.
Cameron was quoted as saying that it was “vital” for Britain to have “modern, technologically advanced and flexible armed forces to protect us and our interests.”
