Ararat Map



Ararat is a city in Armenia famous for its cement factories. Ararat city in Armenia has been constructed over several years. It was later merged with the village named Davalu. Ararat was a frontier of industrialism of Soviet Russia. During the Soviet rule the cement industry of the city solely employed several thousand people. Ararat has an altitude of 2604 m above the sea level. The geographical coordinates of Ararat are 39° 49' 49N and 44° 42' 9E.

Ararat city belongs to the province of Ararat. It lies south east of the capital city of Yerevan.

Luis Ararat is an Armenian football club based in Ararat , which has played for the Armenian First League. There was another football club based in Ararat . This was FC Araks Ararat. FC Araks Ararat had played for the Armenian Premier League but had to discontinue due to financial crisis. Due to emissions from the factories, the ecology of Ararat is in danger and a growing concern among its residents.
