La Rioja is situated on the western side of Argentina. La Rioja covers an area of 89,680 square kilometer. La Rioja is surrounded by Catamarca, San Luis, San Juan and Cordoba on all the four sides. The city La Rioja is the capital of the province of La Rioja.

Capitan Vicente Almonacid Airport is the terminus which connects La Riajo with Buenos Aires.
