Look out for the Great American Eclipse on August 21st<\/sup>, 2017. It has been almost a century since the shadow of the moon blocked out the sun in a total solar eclipse, going from coast to coast across the contiguous United States. Though most of the 50 states will be witness to a partial eclipse, the path of total solar eclipse will make its way through the following US states:<\/p>\n

Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.<\/p>\n

The total eclipse will be passing through the southwestern counties of Kentucky, but will completely miss the central and northern parts of the state. Kentucky is also the state where the total eclipse shall be visible for its longest duration. It shall be visible between 1 minute, and 2 minutes and 41 seconds depending on where you are.<\/p>\n

The Great American Solar Eclipse shall be visible in Kentucky between 1:21 pm CDT and 1:30 pm CDT.<\/p>\n
