Known as home to every known gemstone of nature, Idaho is a delight for rock hounds and it is here where the search for even the rarest gemstone ends. Also known to be the rockiest state in the whole of US, Idaho displays an untouched beauty with its mountainous landscape. To get a spectacular view of nature and experience the warm hospitality of the northwest, Idaho Falls is the place to be. It is also home to the five-mile waterfalls along the Snake River, the place to go if looking for outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho, and the Willard Arts Center are a delight for art lovers, and the town also hosts award winning shows of performing art at the Actors’ Repertory Theater.

The university town of Boise in southwestern Idaho, is the hub for students and is full of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Boise is the state capital, and home to some of the must-see places in Idaho; the State Capitol, the Boise Art Museum, classic Egyptian Theatre, and verdant Julia Davis Park with the Zoo Boise. Garden city is the most beautiful area of the capital which was built by the Chinese settlers.

A small quaint town, Lewiston is home to America’s deepest canyon, i.e. the Hells Canyon. The town was named after the two explorers Lewis and Clark, who came on an expedition in the year 1805. Famous for its winter carnival, McCall is a small resort town which is a major attraction for adrenaline seekers as it offers two major ski mountains; Little Ski Hill and Brundage Mountain with five chairlifts. Tired after the extreme adventure, you could explore the Central Idaho Historical Museum or take a dip into the natural Burgdorf Hot Springs, or cruise away on the magnificent Payette Lake.

Breathtaking Sandpoint is another stopover when visiting Idaho. It was previously one of the West’s great railroading towns, and this can be explored in the town’s museum which is home to 19th century heritage. Rexburg is considered as the starting point for the Eastern Idaho Adventure due to its easy reach of Sun Valley and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The university town of Pocatello attracts tourists through its variety of museums, hiking trails, and the beautiful old town. Coeur d’Alene is a magical city which boasts of 55 lakes created from glaciers, approximately ten thousand years ago.  If visiting with kids, a popular stop over option could be the Silverwood Theme Park with 70 slides, rides, and attractions.

Shoshone Falls near to the city of Twin Falls is a spectacular waterfall on the Snake River. This majestic fall is called the ‘Niagara of the West,’ but in reality, it is higher than the Niagara Falls at 212 feet high and 1,000 feet wide.
