Chinhoyi, which is one of the aspects of Zimbabwe Sightseeing, is situated in the Mashonaland Central Province, on the north western part of Harare, at a distance of 115km.

There are a number of important tourist attractions in Chinhoyi. Some of the well known attractions of Chinhoyi are mentioned below:-
Chinhoyi Caves – Chinhoyi is famous for the large numbers of limestone and dolomite caves. It is believed that these caves were used in the 16th century by the people of Shona tribe as storehouse of grains and as hiding places to safeguard against the other tribes. These caves are used as popular diving sites. The “Sleeping Pool” is one of the best features of the Chinhoyi Caves. It is also believed that these caves also have some spiritual essence.
Biri Dam – This is yet another important attraction of Chinhoyi. Though the dam was built with the purpose of ensuring ample water supply for the inhabitants of Chinhoyi, it is also used today or exciting tourist activities such as yachting, camping, and fishing.
