Zimbabwe Trade

Zimbabwe Trade was glorious in the days of Great Zimbabwe, when gold was traded. Today Zimbabwe Trade includes the export of tobacco, minerals, jewelry, art and craft products etc.

Zimbabwe Trade News:

Zimbabwe Trade is about to suffer a massive setback, with the government making plans of banning the import and export of different items. The emphasis is given on grocery items. It would be totally illegal to imports items like beef, sugar, butter, tea, cooking oil, wheat flour, sugar, fertilizers without a permit. There are discussions on the banning of export of soybeans, tea, sunflower, vegetables, poultry, milk, millet and wheat. Zimbabwean companies who wish to import such items have to make applications to the Ministry of Industry for permits. This ban on food products will be a loss for the traders of cross border, who purchase their good from South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique for reselling.

Zimbabwe Trade Relations:

There is skepticism about Zimbabwe Trade with China. There has been evidences of Zimbabwe trading ivory in return of military weaponry. Zimbabwe Trade partnerships exist with countries like Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Malawi and Botswana.

Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions:

This Zimbabwean organization fights any sort of injustice that a worker may face in terms of salary cuts.

This cross border Zimbabwe Trade had given a boost to the living standards and also provided employment to many, thereby adding to Zimbabwe economy.
