Frederick Chiluba was the former President of Zambia. He was the second President and his reign of presidency ran from 1991 to 2001. Frederick Chiluba was elected as the president after having won the first- ever multi party elections in Zambia in 1991.

Biography of Frederick Chiluba: Frederick Chiluba was a distinguished politician of Zambia. Before being sworn-in as the President of Zambia in 1991, he worked in different capacities for the people of Zambia. From the year 1966 to 1990, Frederick Chiluba assumed different roles. From an active member of Zambia Congress of Trade Unions down to the chairman of the Trade union body, he had left signs of his authority.

Frederick Chiluba, who was a great Zambia politician, was an active trade union leader too. He ruled the country as the President of Zambia till 2001. He was an undisputed leader with good political acumen. Frederick Chiluba was born in Kitwe town in Zambia.

Frederick Chiluba's rise to power or to the presidential seat however, was not a smooth affair as his political opponents questioned his origin. This did not deter him from being assumed the charge of the president of Zambia.

Frederick Chiluba was a great Trade union leader of Zambia. History suggests that Chiluba graduated to the highest echelons of power by virtue of his sheer work ethics that he maintained during his reign as the Chairman of the Zambia Trade Union Congress.
