Zaire Government and Politics is controlled by the three wings of the government popularly known as the Executive, Legislative and the Judiciary. Zaire government is mostly a Republican one .The President is an important part of Zaire government and enjoys the power of the state as well as the chief.
The President,Prime Minister and the members of the cabinet work under the executive branch and the legislative branch is unicameral. The Cabinet is also known as the National Executive Council and the ruling party elects it. The parliament elects the Prime Minister
The Parliament is an important part of the government of Zaire and it is the single body, which consists members of both supporters and the opponents of the Government. The judicial branch is answerable to the Supreme Court.
Zaire has a number of political which take active part in the government of Zaire and some of the political parties of Zaire are Union pour la Democratie et le Progres Social, Forces Novatrices pour l'Union et la Solidarite, Forces du Futur, Mouvement Social Democratie et Developpement (MSDD), Parti Democrate Social Chretien (PDSC), Mouvement Populaire de la Revolution--Fait Prive (MPR-FP) and Mouvement National Congolais/ Lumumba.
Besides the different political parties, there are independent groups which also take active part in the political proceedings.
