Sky Dome is also known as Rogers Centre. It is a multi-purpose arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The stadium is home to Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball and the Toronto Argonauts Canadian Football League. It was the original home of the Toronto Raptors National Basketball Association.
Though, it is mainly a sports venue several other big events such as conventions, trade fairs, shows, concerts etc. are also held at Sky Dome. In fact, it is the largest indoor concert venue in Toronto. Some other shows held at the stadium include the Canadian International AutoShow, the Importfest, Disney On Ice and circuses.
The World Wrestling Entertainment has held Wrestle Mania 6 and Wrestle Mania 18 at Sky Dome.
The WrestleMania XVIII held on March 17, 2002 drew the largest crowd ever (68,237) to the stadium.
The current capacity of Sky Dome is 50,516 for baseball, 53,506 for football and 10,000-55,000 for Concert. |
