The Fleet Center or the Shawmut Center, now known as TD Banknorth Garden or the traditional Boston Garden is a sports stadium in the West End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.
It is home to the Boston Bruins (NHL) team, and the Boston Celtics (NBA) team. While being the site of the annual Beanpot, and the Hockey East Championships, it has also hosted several major national sporting events such as the 1999 and 2003 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball First and Second Rounds. The 2001 US Figure Skating Championships, the 1996 and 2000 US Gymnastics Trials, the 2004 and 1998 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship and the 1996 NHL All-Star Game were also held here.
WWE has organized the 1998's Wrestle Mania XIV, King of the Ring 2000, Royal Rumble 2003 at the Fleet Center. WWE also plans to hold the Summer Slam 2006 here.
Other non-sports events that are held here include events like concerts, conventions, seminars, ice shows, circuses etc.
The Fleet Center has a capacity of 18,624 for basketball, 17,565 for hockey.
